Sol Baby Alpaca/Silk Lace Weight Reinyarnations Reclaimed Yarn
This very exciting yarn started out life as a delicate knitted scarf. Imagine my surprise when I picked up a very unassuming scarf in a thrift shop and found a tag that read “80% baby alpaca, 20% silk”. Rarely have I snapped something up so quickly! When I got it home, it was very carefully taken apart and unraveled as part of an hours-long, patience-testing process which includes weighing, measuring, and relaxing the yarn. This yarn is two plies and well over 40 wpi, which places it in the Craft Yarn Council standard weight of 0 - Lace, which was formerly known as cobweb weight yarn. Yardage is approximate, but slightly underestimated. There is only one skein available and it measures at about 650 yards. This is a unique lot, so if it speaks to you, grab it before it’s gone.
