Hydrangea Scarf Pattern
When I was really little, my family moved into this extremely old house very far out into the country, which had these two enormous hydrangea bushes flanking the steps leading up to the porch. In the spring and summer, those bushes produced the most beautiful blooms and when the petals fell, it looked like confetti. I would collect those petals and throw them into the air and have little parties by myself. This stitch pattern looks like those hydrangea petals. The Hydrangea Scarf gives me the same feeling of being part of some sort of wild nature magic, just as I had at age 8, when I stood under the shower of hydrangea petals mingled with dirt, making beauty in whatever way I could. I wrote this pattern so you could have that feeling, too. Every time you put it on will be your moment to stand under the falling petals, letting yourself be mantled in beauty.
